Jaipur, Mar 24: A case has been registered in Rajasthan against VHP leader Acharya Dharmendra, currently under arrest in Madhya Pradesh for making inflammatory speech, accusing him of making "objectionable" speech capable of causing communal disharmony. Police have found Acharya Dharmendra's speech at a "Trishul Deeksha" ceremony in Badnaur town of Bhilwara district on March one objectionable and capable of causing communal disharmony, police sources said.
They said Dharmendra could be arrested by state police following his release by Madhya Pradesh police.
A case was registered against him with the Badnaur police station after reviewing audio-video cassettes of his speech, they said.
However, VHP spokesman said the case against Dharmendra was registered under political pressure from the Gehlot government.
"There is no justification in registering a case after 20 days of the delivery of the speech which caused no law and order problem, the spokesman said. Bureau Report
