Jaipur, Feb 05 Rajasthan government has ordered release of two installments of dearness allowance pending for the last one year to its employees, official sources said here today. The first installment of DA of four per cent would be paid in cash to the employees from this month while cash payment of second installment of three per cent would be made from July this year, sources said.

The arrears of four per cent DA from January 1, 2002 to January 31, 2003 and three per cent DA from July last year to June this year would be deposited in the government provident fund accounts of the employees, sources said. With this increment, the total DA of the employees has gone up to 52 per cent of their basic salaries, they said.

The rise in the DA rate would benefit pensioners also, they added.

However, all Rajasthan State Government Employees Federation expressed resentment over the cash payment of second installment of DA from July this year. To express their protest, the employees had planned to stage demonstration and burn copies of the DA order outside the state secretariat, Giriraj Kishore Sharma, Federation's general secretary, said in a statement.
