Chennai, Mar 10: MDMK today appealed to its partymen to refrain from meeting its chief Vaiko, a Pota detenue, now lodged at Vellore Central Prison. Its presidium chairman L Ganesan, in a statement, said that the prison officials were governed by certain rules and could not allow all to meet Vaiko in the jail.
If they allow visitors to meet Vaiko, by relaxing the rules, they would be subjected to harassement by the government, he said. Partymen should meet Vaiko, only on essential matters, he said.
