Fazal-ur-Rehman facing Red Corner notice from Interpol
New Delhi, May 20: Fazal-ur Rehman, the underworld don, who allegedly had conversation with father of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, is facing a Red Corner notice from Interpol since 2000.
New Delhi, May 20: Fazal-ur Rehman, the underworld don, who allegedly had conversation with father of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, is facing a Red Corner notice from Interpol since 2000.
CBI secured a Red Corner notice against Rahman on
October 30, 2000 after a designated court in Ahmedabad issued
a non-bailable warrant against him in a case of kidnapping for
extortion.
Hailing from Darbhanga in Bihar, Rahman alias Tanveer doctor has been accused of making threatening calls to businessmen in the country and is also charged with creating a gang of criminals, who executed his orders.
The CBI has accused him of charges like kidnapping, abduction and causing grievous injury, attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy.
The judicial authority of the accused was the designated court of Ahmedabad.
According to the Interpol Red Corner notice, possible countries he could or have visited were Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and Nepal.
