Jalandhar, Aug 05: With the message of peace, goodwill and harmony, two Nepalese cyclists who have embarked on a world tour arrived here on the last leg of their Indian sojourn. "We have been cycling all around the world since March this year with a mission to spread peace, goodwill and harmony as well as to spread public awareness about destitute women and children," cyclist Arjun Sharma Bhattaria, who has embarked on the cycling mission with compatriot Prasad Pandel, told a news agency yesterday upon their arrival here enroute to Pakistan.

Arjun, who grew up at an orphanage after he was separated from his parents at a mela at the age of eight, also wants to raise funds for orphans during the expedition expected to take five years. "We started our journey from thailand and already have been to Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Hong Kong and China," said Arjun.

In India, the cycling duo have covered the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi before arriving here.

They were scheduled to visit Golden Temple in Amritsar today to pray for destitute women and children.

About their forthcoming visit to Pakistan, the cyclists said they were hopeful that they would be successful in conveying the message of peace to the people of Pakistan. Bureau Report
