Ajmer, June 29: Rajasthan government has requested the Railway Board to continue running of free water trains supplying drinking water to drought hit areas till July end, official sources said here today. State chief secretary R K Nayar has written to Railway Board requesting it to keep the trains running till July 31 to places in Jaipur, Bhilwara, Udaipur and Pali districts, sources said. Railways has been running water trains free of charge to carry drinking water of Bisalpur dam from Narirabad in Ajmer district since October last year. The facility is scheduled to end tomorrow.
