Dubai, May 29: In a bid to participate in the reconstruction of Iraq and explore business opportunities there, a 20-member mission of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) is in Kuwait to meet the companies on a one-to-one basis. The mission is there with the objective of focusing on possible business opportunities in sub-contracting for the reconstruction of Iraq and also to link the mission members to Kuwaiti counterparts for business in Kuwait.

Among the areas of cooperation between the two countries this mission will explore include oil and gas exploration, construction, pharmaceutical and medical consumables, power plants and information technology besides promoting cooperation in the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sector.
The CII mission is meeting Kuwaiti companies on a one-to-one basis to explore opportunities for Indian counterparts in areas like oil and gas, construction, infrastructure, commodities' trading and trading of consumer durables as well as non-durables.
In turn, Kuwaiti companies are looking for sub-contracting projects in Iraq for reconstruction, infrastructure project partners, oil exploration partners, equipment suppliers, trading partners for commodities and construction companies. Bureau Report
