Kingston (Jamaica), June 29: Prabath Nissanka's first five-wicket haul gave Sri Lanka a 17-run first-innings lead after bowling out the West Indies for 191 on the second day of the second cricket test today. Nissanka, playing his fourth test, took five for 64 off 12.3 overs. Off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan added three for 23, including the prize scalp of captain Brian Lara (10), Muralitharan's 50th wicket in seven tests against the West Indies.
Lara was deceived by a straighter delivery to be leg before. After ending Sri Lanka's first innings at 208 yesterday, the West Indies began the second day at four without loss, but none of its batsmen could settle at the crease.

Opener Chris Gayle and Ramnaresh Sarwan high-scored with 31, and fast bowler Vasbert Drakes made 30.

Nissanka dismissed both openers, Gayle and Wavell Hinds (19) after the pair added 54 for the first wicket.

He also accounted for Marlon Samuels and Omari Banks in the middle order to catches to captain Hashan Tillakaratne at first slip.

The 6-foot-4 pacer wrapped up the innings by having Corey Collymore (13) caught at third slip.

Drakes boosted the lower order with a career-best 30 after the West Indies slipped to 123 for six.

He and Ridley Jacobs (16) added 39 for the seventh wicket. Jacobs became the second West Indian wicketkeeper to complete 2,000 runs in tests after Jeff Dujon (3,146 runs).
