Kochi, July 11: BJP national executive member and state president-elect, P S Sreedharan Pillai, today reiterated his party's demand for a CBI enquiry into the May 2 Marad massacre, which had claimed nine lives. Addressing a press meet here today, Pillai said, "If the chief minister was sincere in solving the Marad issue, he could do it in a minute by entrusting the enquiry to CBI." Alleging that the top leadership of Congress in the state was adopting double standards on the issue of rehabilitation of displaced families, he pointed out that the chief minister had said that minorities should not use their organised force for collective bargaining, but KPCC president had contradicted it. He said the party's state council would meet here on July 27. Bureau Report
