BJP seeks Governor`s intervention to curb crime
Dehradun, Aug 21: Alleging that the Congress government has failed to check the deteriorating law and order in the Uttaranchal, the state BJP today sought intervention of Governor Sudershan Agarwal in this regard.

Demanding the removal of Chamoli district magistrate Madan Singh after BJP MLA from Nandprayag constituency in the district was beaten up by some unidentified youth, a BJP delegation alongwith the state party president Manohar Kant Dhyani met the governor in this regard.
It urged Agarwal to direct the government to curb rising crime graph and called for immediate arrest of the persons responsible for beating up of Bhatt.
Alleging that the Chamoli DM was "directly involved" in
the incident, the BJP leaders charged him of working as an
agent of the Congress Party.
