New Delhi, July 29: China has sent its reply to the Indian protests against the army incursions in Arunachal Pradesh and India will react on it only after studying the reply, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha told the Bharatiya Janata Parliamentary
party today.
Replying to the queries raised by the MPs regarding the recent Chinese incursions in Arunachal Pradesh, Sinha said since there were 'different perceptions' between the two countries on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) there could be a possibility for differences
as there was no demarcation of the borders between the two neighbours.
The two countries had struck an understanding that if there are to be any problem between the two sides in the LAC area, the two nations should resolve the problem through diplomatic channels without indulging in confrontation. But in Arunachal Pradesh, the Chinese side did not adhere to this and hence India had protested, BJP parliamentary party spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said. Quoting Sinha, Malhotra said the border dispute between India and China was an old issue and could be discussed between the official teams as envisaged by the leaders of the two countries.
The delegation members had been identified and things would be more clear when they talk over the issue, the BJP MPs were told, the BJP spokesman said.
