Mayawati elected BSP national president
New Delhi, Sept 22: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati has been unanimously elected national president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), a party release said here today.
New Delhi, Sept 22: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati has been unanimously elected national president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), a party release said here today.
The release said Mayawati was elected unopposed at a meeting of the BSP's central general body here on September 18.
The decision to convene the meeting to elect BSP's national president was taken by the central executive committee of the party which had met under the chairmanship of Kanshi Ram on August 24 at Lucknow. The meeting was attended by presidents and other office bearers of various state units of the party.
The meeting also adopted a resolution praying for the speedy recovery of the BSP supremo Kanshi Ram. Bureau Report
