The White House is giving a virtual peek this year at its holiday decorations, which are off-limits to the public due to tightened security following the Sept. 11 attacks. Visitors to the official White House Web site are greeted with a view of the gleaming foyer with flocked trees and sparkling white lights, and invited to take a "360 degree virtual holiday tour of the White House."

"It`s pretty remarkable what technology allows on the computer screen, for people to be as close as possible as it is to being in the room to see the sites," White House spokesman Ari Fleischer told reporters in announcing the site.
The virtual tour can be viewed through the White House Internet site at www.whitehouse.gov. Bureau Report
