Milwaukee, July 13: Kenny Perry, twice a winner on the U.S. Tour this season, jumped into a one-shot lead after three rounds of the $3.5 million dollar (U.S.) Greater Milwaukee Open.
On Saturday (July 12) after a round of 66, Perry was on eight-under 202, a shot clear of South African Brenden Pappas, who fired a sparkling seven-under-par 63, Jay Don Blake, Jerry Kelly, Patrick Sheehan, Heath Slocum and Australia's Steve Allan. Perry, who won this year's Colonial and Memorial Tournament in consecutive weeks, had two birdies and two bogeys on his card over the front nine at Brown Deer Golf Course. He birdied the 11th, then ran off three straight birdies beginning at the 15th to finish with a four-under-par 66. A total of 19 players were within four shots of Perry going into Sunday's final round.
