Hyderabad, Mar 30: An estimated 10,000 people today participated in a massive rally protesting the US attack on Iraq. The rally, by the "Forum against War", was led by noted scientist Dr P M Bhargava and attended by leaders of left parties, Majlis Ettehadul Muslimeen and other prominent persons. Describing it as an act of "aggression", the participants criticised the US and the UK for "attacking unarmed people of Iraq."
Effigies of US President George W Bush and UK Premier Tony Blair were burnt at the rally. The participants also pledged to boycott all products from the US and the UK.
CPI state secretary S Sudhakar Reddy, CPM secretary Raghuvulu, MIM floor leader Asaduddin Owaisi addressed the rally. Bureau Report
