The Filmfare Award for the Best Story of the Year has been bagged by Lagaan written by Ashutosh Gowariker while the Best Screenplay Award went to Farhan Akhtar for Dil Chahta Hai. The technical awards for the 47th Filmfare Awards, which will be held in Mumbai on Saturday, February 16, were announced here on Monday. The trophy for the Best Dialogue as been won by Karan Johar for Kabhi Khushi Kabbie Gham, which has also earned Sharmishta Roy the award for Best Art Direction. Santosh Sivan has won the Best Cinematography Award for Asoka. The Best Editing Award has been won by A Sreekar Prasad for Dil Chahta Hai. The Sound Recording trophy has been won by Rakesh Ranjan for Aks while the Best Background Music Score has gone to Ranjit Barot for the same film. The Best Action of the year award has been won by Tinnu Verma for Gadar — Ek Prem Katha. The event will be telecast live on Sony Entertainment Television from 9 pm onwards on Tuesday.
