Jaisalmer, Jun 02: An intruder from Pakistan was nabbed on the border near Shahgarh bulge by BSF, police said here today.
The intruder, a 19-year-old youth Nazar Hussain from Talpu in Pakistan, was arrested last night when he entered into the Indian territory by crossing the border between the border pillars near the Shahgarh bulge, deputy inspector general of police Rajiv Dasot told reporters.
During preliminary interrogation Hussain, who was handed over by BSF to the police, told them he wanted to go to Delhi for treatment. He was carrying four capsules made in Karachi and a shawl. However, police sources said intelligence agencies of Pakistan usually send such persons in a guise as a test case for bigger and serious intrusion. The BSF had shot dead another intruder from Pakistan trying to enter into India through Shahgarh bulge on December 25 last.
Since geographical conditions in the area make the border between the two countries porous because shifting sand dunes cover the fencing, Pakistan always tries to push intruders through this area, the sources said. Bureau Report
