Lucknow, Oct 30: Taking a rigid stand, dissident BJP leader Ganga Bhakt Singh today ruled out the possibility of tendering an apology for revocation of his suspension from the party. "I cannot even consider tendering an apology for getting my suspension revoked in order to start the process of dialogue for ending the stalemate in the party," Singh, who submitted a memorandum to the state governor alongwith five other legislators in connection with the alleged victimisation of dissidents, told reporters here. Singh said so far the dissidents had not contemplated withdrawing support to the government but were now free to consider all options.
Six legislators - Kovid Kumar Singh, Ramashish Rai, Bhara Tripathi, besides Singh (all BJP), Raja Ram Pandey (Samata) and Raghuraj Pratap Singh (independent) met the Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri today.
Singh said the dissidents apprised Shastri about their ongoing victimisation ."The governor assured us that he would issue directives to the state government to stop the repression today itself", Singh said threatening to fight it out on the streets in case their victimisation continued an further.
