Imphal, Dec 04: Normal life was partially affected in Manipur today due to the 24-hour state-wide bandh, called by the Kuki Students Organisation (KSO). The Bandh, to protest against the killing of four students of Manja Baptist English School on November 12 in Assam, began from 6 pm last night and would continue till 6 pm today.
Official reports said the protest call had no affect in the Imphal area. All the government offices in Imphal area were functioning.
Normal life was affected in Senapati and Chandel district, especially more town.
Very few vehicles were plying on the National Highway no. 39 and 53 of the state, reports said.
There were no reports of any untoward incident so far in the state, official sources said.
