Government on Thursday imposed a ban on the appointment of sole selling agents for marketing of cement and paper for two years. The decision was taken in view of excess demand for cement and paper. The demand for cement and paper is substantially in excess of the production or supply of such goods and the services of the sole selling agents will not be necessary to create a market for these two goods, as showed by the release. Sole selling agents are appointed for creating market for sale of goods in the country under the Company’s’ Act of 1956. Bureau Report
