imposition of President's rule in West Bengal and a CBI probe
into the alleged Choto Angra carnage of January 4.
Trinamool Congress chief whip in the Lok Sabha, Sudip Bandopadhyay told PTI before leaving for New Delhi that the party's main demand would be promulgation of article 356 in West Bengal since law and order in the state has collapsed.
“The Trinamool Congress delegation would also demand a CBI investigation into the killing at Choto Angra,” he said.
The TC leader said that the NDA fact-finding team which had visited Choto Angra village at Garbeta had also favoured imposition of central rule in the state.
Under the prevailing situation, he said, it would not be possible to hold the ensuing Assemblly election in the state in a 'peaceful, free and fair manner'.
