Remand of five accused in Harpreet case extended
Special CBI Magistrate J S Hayer on Tuesday extended the judicial remand of five of the accused in the case related to the death of SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur`s daughter Harpreet till November 21.
Special CBI Magistrate J S Hayer on Tuesday extended the judicial remand of five of the accused in the case related to the death of SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur`s daughter Harpreet till November 21.
The five accused-Paramjit Singh, Satya Devi, Harvinder Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Dalwinder Kaur--were produced before the court under tight security.
The CBI requested the court to extend the judicial remand of the five of the seven accused in the case and the court admitted the plea. While SGPC chief has been eluding arrest, her personal security officer Nishan Singh has surrendered before the CBI at the agency`s headquarters in New Delhi.
Bibi Jagir Kaur is the only accused in the case still at large. Bureau Report
