Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority to develop IT cluster
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has decided to invite offers from the private players to develop the area as an Information Technology cluster.
As per the authority's guidelines, each investor has to pump in minimum amount of Rs 40 crore excluding land cost.
An it industry unit should cover at least 50 per cent of the build up area and up to 15 per cent of the total area could be developed for residential and commercial purposes each.
GNID in a statement here claimed that it would take care of land related issues, including land identification, pricing, allotment and transfer in an expeditious manner.
The authority would ensure that the development around the alloted land takes place within a pre-specified time frame. The units would be provided with uninterrupted power supply.
The authority further claimed that ordinary commercial space offers a cost-effective option for software units in the region since it connectivity to the nearest earth station at Noida is ensured through wireless technology.
The authority has plans for a convergence network project based on optic fibre cable, which will provide the sufficient bandwidth for it industry and it enabled services, the statement added.
