The US Senate has passed a bill allowing the issuing of more H1-B visas. The bill, passed by a 96-1 vote, provides for the issuing of 2,00,000 more visas over the next three years. Half of the H1-B visas are issued to Indians alone. The bill has to be passed by the House of Representatives before it can come into force, but experts are of the view that that the bill wouldn`t face much opposition.
