Minister of state for External Affairs Ajit Panja on Sunday discussed with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein the ways and means to strengthen Indo-Iraq ties. Panja, who is leading a 35-member business delegation to Gulf nations on a two-day visit, held talks with Hussein for nearly an hour, Indian embassy sources said. India and Iraq had flourishing trade and cultural contacts till 90s which slumped after the Gulf war and the subsequent UN sanctions.
