Here's some good news for Pokémon GO lovers. Niantic Labs, the game's creator, has reportedly hinted that new Pokemon are coming next week.

Few media report thus implied that players will now be able to catch creatures like Mewtwo or even the next generation Pokemon creatures.


The blockbuster game developed by Niantic, in which Japan's Nintendo Co has a large stake, uses augmented reality and GPS mapping to make animated characters appear in the real world.


Players see creatures overlaid on the nearby landscape that they see through a mobile phone camera.


Players, known as "trainers," download the Pokemon Go game to their smartphones.


To progress in the game, they must walk around to find and catch Pokemon and access specific locations called Pokestops - where Pokeballs and other useful items are collected.
