Addressing mediapersons, the Patidar leader said that the victory of the BJP won’t deter his campaign and will continue unabated. “I don’t belong to any party, so my campaign will continue…will continue fighting BJP with dadagiri” he said.

Dismissing BJP’s claim of winning on development agenda and strategy of its political leadership, Patel said, “there was no chanakya neeti, there was just money power and EVM rigging that helped the BJP win in Gujarat.

He further urged the Congress and other political parties to join hands and launch a campaign against “EVM rigging”.

Even before the results were declared, Patel had said that he had no faith on EVM machines.

"I have 100% doubts on EVMs," he had said.

He had said that if there’s no malfunctioning of the machines, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would lose the elections.

Reacting to Supreme Court rejecting Congress petition seeking a re-verification of votes, he said: "Why are VVPATs used in the first place? It is used for smooth counting of votes wherever there is a fault. I did not understand Supreme Court's stand on the issue."
