According to ANI, the spectacles are missing from Mahatma Gandhi's statue for the last three days.

However, this is not the first time that spectacles from his statues have gone missing.

In 2011 too, Mahatma Gandhi's spectacles went missing from the Sevagram Ashram in Wardha.

The Gujarat government later ordered a probe into the incident.

Mahatma Gandhi came to Wardha, 75 km from Nagpur, in 1936 and settled at the ashram which receives around 300,000 visitors every year.
