AHMEDABAD: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who has been leading the party campaign in Gujarat in the run-up to elections in 182-member assembly, on Friday took a break from his hectic campaigning to enjoy 'pav bhaji' at a roadside eatery shop.

Rahul was returning after addressing a rally at Gujarat's Anand when he along with several Congress leaders halted at a 'pav bhaji' stall in Tarapur. 



The 47-year-old Congress leader has been campaigning hard in the BJP bastion of north Gujarat where the party hopes to do well in the elections with the help of Patidar quota leader Hardik Patel.

After addressing rallies at Pavijetpur, Mogal Dham Mandir, Ranesar and Tarapur, Rahul plans to travel to Limbasi and Loteshwar Bhagol where he will held public meetings.


The first phase of the Gujarat polls will be held tomorrow and the second phase on December 14. The votes will be counted on December 18.
