After rape, Dera chief now has two murder trials against him
Ram Rahim has been accused of involvement in a murder conspiracy of Dera manager Ranjit Singh in July 2002.
New Delhi: Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has two ongoing murder trials against him and both the cases are reportedly in final stages.
Ram Rahim has been accused of involvement in a murder conspiracy of Dera manager Ranjit Singh in July 2002. Singh was allegedly killed by his associates after he distanced himself from the sect.
He was suspected to have circulated anonymous letters alleging sexual harassment of women disciples inside the Dera headquarters in Sirsa.
The trial is reportedly in its final stage.
Ram Rahim has also been implicated in the murder of a Sirsa-based journalist.
Ram Chander Chatterpati was killed on October 23, 2002, for reporting about illegal activities running inside the Dera HQ.
Ram Rahim along with three others was booked for alleged involvement in the murder conspiracy. The trial is also in the final stage, TOI reported.
