New Delhi: In a bid to nab Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s close aide and adopted daughter Honeypreet Insaan, the Uttar Pradesh Police on Friday instructed all police stations in Maharajganj, Gorakhpur and Behraich areas bordering Nepal to keep a strict lookout for women wearing burqas.

Th directive comes following the rumours of Honeypreet trying to sneak into the neighbour nation, Nepal. According to ASP Maharajganj Ashutosh Shukla, photographs of Honeypreet have been circulated and two constables have been posted in each police stations.


“We are not allowing any women or girl to cross over without physical frisking by women constables and document verification by jawans. Night patrolling on the open border has been intensified and we are keeping round the clock vigil on those crossing over,” the ASP told DNA.


“We are also in touch with bordering Nepal Police check-posts in view of the high alert on Honeypreet,” Shukla added.
