Delhi NCR sees rise in dengue cases, 110 reported in last week
As per reports, at least 110 fresh cases of dengue were reported last week pushing the total count of affected people in the National Capital Region to 945.
New Delhi: Delhi and its adjoining areas have witnessed a rise in the number of dengue cases in the last week.
As per reports, at least 110 fresh cases of dengue were reported last week pushing the total count of affected people in the National Capital Region to 945.
Out of 945, 435 caseshave been reported from Delhi and rest 510 cases are from the neighbouring states.
Doctors and authorities have expressed concern that the number of cases will rise in the months of September and October.
As per a report published in DNA, a doctor was quoted saying as "Dengue is on a rise. We are getting cases on a regular basis. We have been receiving an equal number of swine flu cases as well," Dr S P Byotra, Head of Medicine at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said.
"September and October are the dreaded months, but even in August, we received 3-4 cases a day, making it at least 25 cases a week," he added.
