New Delhi: It was a bad day for a 22-year-old man from Surat as he was declared brain dead by doctors after he met a deadly accident.
After being declared brain dead, he did not know that his vital organs would come handy in saving life of seven people.
His family consented to donate his vital organs like heart, pancreas and corneas, which includes saving the life of a 27-year-old woman from Ukraine, who was badly in need of a heart transplant.
This donation of his made history as the woman who received the heart became the first foreign national to get an Indian organ.
Following this, his pancreas and corneas were also donated to other people raising the count of recipients to seven.
