New Delhi: Here is a video that needs to be watched by everyone – old or young, rich or poor! In one of its videos, the Indian comical group All India Bakchod, or AIB as famously they are known, tried to address the stigma attached to mental illnesses like depression in a jovial way.
The AIB video titled 'if people treated other illnesses like they treat depression' shows how the world would be like if a physical illness like typhoid gets treated like depression.
In the video, a number of friends were seen telling Nikhil, who has been diagnosed with typhoid, to get out and have some fun to overcome it.
Obviously, someone with typhoid won't do that, instead he/she would seek medical's help.
The moral of this video is that people should start treating mental illnesses like depression like any other physical illnes. Depression is a serious illness that requires medical attention.
Watch out for yourself below, the video itself speaks volumes.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) urged people acoss the world to talk about depression so that individuals suffering from the mental condition get help and treated. Also, the theme for 2017 World Health Day, celebrated each year on April 7, was 'Depression: Let's Talk'.
