The only way people get to know that they have high blood pressure is by getting it measured by a professional. Even if you have blood pressure, there are certain ways which you can do to reduce it.


Here are some things which you can do to reduce your blood pressure:


Walk


One should go out for a brisk walk daily as it can help lower pressure. Physical activities can ensure the heart uses oxygen more efficiently.


Deep breathing


Deep breathing and meditation techniques can help reduce stress drastically and keep your blood pressure in check. So, try doing it for 10 minutes every morning and at night.


Eat potassium-rich food


Try to inlcude more of potassium-rich fruits and vegetables in your daily diet as potassium can counter the effects of sodium on blood pressure.


Reduce salt intake


One can easily reduce their blood pressure simple by reducing the intake of salt. Try to replace salt with lime, garlic, pepper or other herbs and spices.


Reduce work and relax


Reducing the number of hours you spend in office can help lower hypertension. Working overtime makes it hard to exercise and eat healthy.
