Coronavirus cases in India rise to 107, Maharashtra highest with 31
The Health Ministry on Sunday (March 15) updated the number of positive cases of Coronavirus in India to 107. Of these, nine have been cured and two have died.
New Delhi: The Health Ministry on Sunday (March 15) updated the number of positive cases of Coronavirus in India to 107, which includes 90 Indian nationals. Among these, nine have been cured and two have died. According to officials, the total number of passengers screened at the airport so far is 12,29,363.
With the number of coronavirus positive cases shooting to 31, Maharashtra has emerged as the worst-hit state in the country. Five new cases were detected in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune district, late on Saturday night, a health official said.

According to the Health Ministry, Delhi confirmed 7 cases of which one person died on March 13 and two recovered from the disease. Haryana has 14 cases, and all the patients are foreign nationals. However, according to data available on the ministry website, Kerala, reported 22 cases of which 3 persons have recovered and were discharged earlier. Rajasthan reported 4 cases - 2 are Indians and 2 foreign nationals. The data took into account cases compiled till 8.55 a.m. on March 15.
According to the ministry, there are at least 76 Indian nationals and 17 foreigners who are confirmed COVID-19 cases. A total of two persons have died so far with one death in the national capital and one in Karnataka.
On late Saturday, five more positive cases of Coronavirus were reported from Maharashtra, taking the total number of infection in the state to 31. According to PTI, new cases were detected in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur and Yavatmal.
On March 14, India suspended movements of all types of passengers through the international border points with Pakistan from March 16 midnight in wake of the threat from the novel coronavirus pandemic, officials said. There will be intensified health inspections at the entry points, which will be allowed along the borders with Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar, according to the order.
