Earthquake In Jammu-Kashmir: Tremors Felt In Jammu-Kashmir Regions
The tremors of earthquake felt across Northern India around 1:40 pm.
New Delhi: On Monday, there were powerful earthquake shocks detected in regions of North India and the Delhi-NCR region. The earthquake, which occurred around 1:30 PM, lasted for 20 seconds. According to the National Centre for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 had an epicenter at Doda in Jammu and Kashmir and sent powerful vibrations throughout north India.
Informing about the latest earthquake, National Center for Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.4, Occurred on 13-06-2023, 13:33:42 IST, Lat: 33.15 & Long: 75.82, Depth: 6 Km ,Location: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, India for more information Download the BhooKamp App.”
However, there was no immediate damage or reported casualties elsewhere. Chandigarh, Jaipur, Jammu and Kashmir, among other nearby areas, felt the earthquake's tremors. Initial reports said that the earthquake's shocks were so powerful that they could be felt in far-off locations including Islamabad, Lahore, and surrounding Pakistani regions.
