Gurugram (Gurgaon) building collapse incident: Two people have been reported dead and six others are trapped in a roof collapse incident in Haryana's Gurgaon. The incident took place at Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram's Sector 109. Police and other district authorities are carrying out rescue operations.

 As per initial inputs, 6 floors of a 17 floor building have collapsed. Some of the families residing in the building are also feared trapped. Multiple teams of National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force team are carrying out the rescue operations. Four families are said to be trapped in the debris.

Haryana Government official statement on Gurugram building collapse


An official statement from Haryana government said that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is personally monitoring the situation. "A portion of the roof of the sixth floor of D tower of Chintels Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram's Sector 109 has collapsed. Administrative officers and NDRF and SDRF teams are on the spot. Rescue operation is underway," Haryana government said in a statement.
