In Kolkata Dakshin, Saira Shah Halim (Communist Party Of India (Marxist)), Niraj Agarwal (Independent), Firoza Khatun (Bahujan Samaj Party), Santanu Roy (Independent) are trailing in their constituencies, respectively.


In Kolkata Uttar, Pradip Bhattacharya from the Indian National Congress, Dr. Biplab Chandra from the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist), Omprakash Prajapati from the Bahujan Samaj Party, and Pranati Paul, an Independent candidate are trailing in their respective constituencies.


All India Trinamool Congress candidate Bandyopadhyay Sudip is leading/winning against the BJP candidate Tapas Roy by a margin of over 56740 votes in the constituency.


Voting for both constituencies took place on June 1 during Phase 7 of the 18th Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In Kolkata Uttar, the key candidates are Tapas Roy from the BJP and Sudip Bandopadhyay from the TMC. Background Details Of The Seat


In the 2019 elections, Kolkata Dakshin parliamentary constituency boasted a total of 1,728,851 eligible voters. Mala Roy, representing AITC, emerged victorious with 573,119 votes, securing the seat as Member of Parliament. Chandra Kumar Bose, the BJP candidate, came in second with 417,927 votes, trailing by 155,192 votes.
