New Delhi: Gandhinagar South Election Result Live 2022 --The Election Commission of India has declared election results for Gandhinagar South Gujarat Assembly. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Alpesh Thakor won the Gandhinagar South Gujarat Assembly in a closely held contest with Congress party's Dr Himanshu Patel (Adalaj). Bharatiya Janata Party's OBC leader Alpesh Thakor has won with 134051 total votes. Congress's Dr Himanshu Patel (Adalaj) got 90987 while Aam Aadmi Party's Devendrabhai(Dolatbhai) Pravinchandra Patel was a distant third with 11195 votes.
A total of 11 candidates were fighting for the Assembly constituency. Other candidates include Rajendra Sureshbhai Parmar (Bhartiya Jan Parishad), Rajeshkumar Mangabhai Parmar (BSP), Solanki Vinodkumar Kacharabhai (IND), Acharya Keyur Chimanbhai (IND), Kishorpuri Chandanpuri Gauswami (IND), Rajveer (IND), Solanki Dharmendrakumar Chimanbhai (IND), Chaudhari Kishorsinh Shrichand (Jan Sewa Driver Party).
Rajendra Sureshbhai Parmar of Bhartiya Jan Parishad got 300 votes, Rajeshkumar Mangabhai Parmar of BSP got 1693 votes. Independent candidates Solanki Vinodkumar Kacharabhai (803 votes), Acharya Keyur Chimanbhai (307 votes) , Kishorpuri Chandanpuri Gauswami (207 votes), Rajveer (436 votes), Solanki Dharmendrakumar Chimanbhai (578 votes). Chaudhari Kishorsinh Shrichand of Jan Sewa Driver Party got 583 votes.
The vote share for OBC leader Alpesh Thakor among major parties BJP, Congress and AAP candidate is at 54.59 percent, 37.05 percent and 4.56 percent respectively.
