LIVE: IMD warns of extremely heavy rain in parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh on Nov 10-11

`Under its influence, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu on November 8 and 9 and heavy to very heavy rain at few places with isolated extremely heavy falls are very likely on November 10 and 11.,` the IMD said in a statement.

    The CRPF ordered the inquiry into the incident "to ascertain the cause of the incident and suggest remedial measures". The incident took place at about 3.25 am on Monday in which Constable Reetesh Ranjan of CRPF`s 50 Battalion opened fire on his company personnel in which four were killed and three others got injured.     The Chief Minister called upon the people to hold their travel plans as the weathermen have predicted heavy rains for the next three days. He said that officials have been put on high alert and all the state government departments are working in coordination with each other.

New Delhi: Extremely heavy rainfall is likely over some parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on November 10 and 11 which may inundate roads and low-lying areas, and cause riverine flooding in some catchment areas, the India Meteorological Department said on Monday (November 8, 2021).
