Goa: 202 new cases take the total to 5,489. Active count at 1,666, while the death toll is at 39.
Maharashtra: 9,211 new cases were reported in the state today. The total number of positive cases rises to 4,00,651, of which, 1,46,129 are active cases and 14,463 deaths.
Uttarakhand: 279 new infections take the total to 6,866. The numbers of active surged to 2,945.
Punjab: 568 new infections and 25 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the state now stands at 14,946 that includes 10,213 recoveries and 361 fatalities.

Madhya Pradesh minister Tulsi Silawat and his wife have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.Despite showing no symptoms of the infection, Silawat said he underwent coronavirus test on the instruction of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. (ANI)

The recovery rate stands at 64.50 percent, according to the data.
This was the sixth consecutive day when COVID-19 cases have increased by more than 45,000.
The total number of COVID19 samples tested up to July 28 is 1,77,43,740 including 4,08,0855 samples tested yesterday, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) informed.
