New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's PA Bibhav Kumar has been arrested by Delhi police on Saturday in connection with the AAP MP Swati Maliwal assault case.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP and former DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal filed an FIR against  Kejriwal's PA Bibhav for assaulting her in the CM's residence. The police have arrested the Vibhav from Kejriwal's house.


Kejriwal's PA Vibhav reached out to Delhi Police via email and stated that he was ready to cooperate in the ongoing probe into Maliwal's assault claim. Additionally, he urged them to consider his complaint as well.


On the arrest of Bibhav Kumar in connection with AAP MP Swati Maliwal's assault case, Sanjeev Nasiar, state president of AAP legal cell informed that the application has been filed in the court stating we haven't received a copy of FIR yet.


 "We have filed an application in the court saying that we have not yet received a copy of the FIR. The order is reserved till 4 pm but now I have come to know that he has been brought here without any notice. Now we want to go inside (Civil Lines PS) but we are being stopped from going inside," Nasiar said.


He is to be produced before Delhi's Tis Hazari Court later today, the police informed. 


Meanwhile, the chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Rekha Sharma shared a post on her official X handle, "Delhi CM's aide Bibhav Kumar was arrested from his house. So, (the) CM was giving shelter to (an) alleged criminal."


On Friday, Bibhav lodged a counter-complaint with police, alleging Maliwal of unauthorized entry into the CM's residence and verbally abusing him.
