Amit Kumar of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won the Silli seat with total votes 73169. Kumar won with a voting margin of 49302 votes against Sudesh Kumar Mahto of Ajsu Party. Silli Assembly seat is one of the 7 assembly seats in the Ranchi district of Jharkhand.

A total of 15 candidates were in the fray for the Silli Assembly seat including several independents. Some of the key candidates being -- Ajit Kumar (Bahujan Samaj Party), Amit Kumar (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha), Sudesh Kumar Mahto (Ajsu Party), Anil Kumar Mahto {peoples Party Of India (Democratic)}, Anil Singh Munda (Bharat Adivasi Party), Anil Singh Munda (Bharat Adivasi Party), Rabindra Lal Yadav (Jharkhand Party), Rameshwar Mahto (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (Ulgulan), Dr. Amit Kumar (Independent), Dhanpati Mahto (Independent).



Jharkhand's ruling alliance comprising the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and CPI-ML, stormed into power, thereby claiming stakes to form the second consecutive government. 


This is for the first time in the state's political history that the incumbent government is retaining power for the second term because no government has ever been re-elected in the state. 


Jharkhand Assembly elections 2024 recorded a voter turnout of 67.74 percent, the highest since the formation of the state in 2000. The polling was held in two phases -- 43 seats on November 13, and 38 seats on November 20.
