New Delhi: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed with him various issues concerning the state.

During the 20-minute meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the Home Minister on security situation in Tripura, particularly along the Indo-Bangladesh border.


Singh assured Sarkar of all possible help to his government in maintaining law and order, tackling insurgency and modernisation of police force, official sources said.


India shares a 4096-km long border with Bangladesh, 856 of which falls in Tripura.
