New Delhi: Online search giant Google is celebrating the history of hip hop with special interactive doodle.

The interactive Doodle commemorates the 44th anniversary of the party where Clive Campbell better known by his stage name DJ Kool Herc originated hip hop music in New York City.


Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the 44th anniversary of that party, which is widely credited as the birth of the Hip Hop movement, a Google Blog post said.


Cey Adams, visual artist and founding creative director of Def Jam records, has designed the Doodle logo image


The interactive doodle allows you to click the play button on the "O" in the graphic. When you click it, you are taken to a "record crate" where you can choose samples of classic songs.
