Private cable operators in Jammu and Kashmir broadcast channels like Saudi Quran, Saudi Sunnah, Al Arabia, Hidayat, Noor, Paigham, Madani, Sehar, Karbala, Ary QTV.
Srinagar: More than 50 Pakistani and Saudi Arabian channels are running via private cable networks in Kashmir without required clearances.
The channels, including Zakir Naik's banned Peace TV, are indulged in preaching Salafist Islam and spreading anti-India propaganda.
Private cable operators in Jammu and Kashmir broadcast channels like Saudi Quran, Saudi Sunnah, Al Arabia, Hidayat, Noor, Paigham, Madani, Sehar, Karbala, Ary QTV , Hadi, Sehar, Bethat, Ahlibat, Message, Falak, Geo News, Ary News, Dawn News, and many others.
Notably, these channels are not permitted to air in the rest of the country by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
