Speaking to reporters at the wreath laying ceremony of assistant sub-inspector Abdul Rashid, who was shot and killed by militants in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, this afternoon, he said, "I will only say that one more citizen of Jammu and Kashmir has been martyred".

"It is the blood of our people that is being spilled and the ultimate outcome of the war that has been waged from across is that people of J&K are getting martyred which is not a good thing," the DGP said.

Asked about the warning by the militant outfit Jaish-e- Mohammad (JeM) that more attacks like the one on district police lines Pulwama on Saturday, the DGP said "we will take them on".
