Hasan (Karnataka): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday hit out at the BJP for turning a blind eye to corruption in Karnataka.
Addressing a rally in Hasan ahead of the May 5 Assembly Elections, Rahul sarcastically said the BJP has won the world cup of corruption.
Why is it not able to see corruption in Karnataka, the Congress scion asked. He highlighted RTI as a tool given by the UPA government to people to fight corruption.
"We have given you RTI to expose corruption," he said. Without naming former BJP leader and ex-state CM BS Yeddyurappa, Rahul asked people to elect a chief minister who doesn`t spend time in jail.
He further noted that nobody was happy with the political system and there was a need to include youth and women in the system to bring in real change.
