BENGALURU: A Congress leader in Karnataka was caught on camera reportedly sprinkling petrol and threatening an official inside a government office in Bengaluru.

The leader Narayanswamy went on a rampage and threatened to set the office of Bengaluru's civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on fire.



Dressed in proper white, the Congress leader splashed the liquid from a bottle all over the room.


Chengal Rayappa, the official at the government office is seen pleading with the politician.


A police complaint has, meanwhile, been filed against Narayanaswamy. The liquid has been sent to examine to see whether it was petrol.


Narayanswamy is the Congress block president of KR Puram constituency.


With elections just months away, the incident led to an embarrassment for the ruling party.
